Why did the copy of the game come with a disk if you can play without it and it downloaded the game from tinternet?

If you buy from a shop or online store - you get a disc.

If you download it - you don't get a disc.

I think he means you don't need a disc to run or install the game, so why did they make a disc? They could have just sold the boxed game with the manual and key to unlock the game and saved the money of burning discs for all the boxed versions

I bought the disc and didn't need it to install and/or play the game. Hence it is redundant. I think this is what he means.

I dunno. Some people like to have a physical copy. No doubt they'll eradicate this one day, but is probably way too soon for that.

Sorry this is what i meant. Is it to make you feel like you bought something more than a code? I just dont see the point of having a disc if it has no use.

You can install from the disk if you prefer to. You only need to activate one time with Steam if you'd rather use the disk.
