Your are no longer able to offer a high number of players the key player status with high wages within a short period of time. Each potential wage is taken from the wage budget, this reduces the maximum wage which can be offered in new contract negotiations. Only the contract talks with one player breaking down can increase the wage budget You should be able to offer a contract to as many players as you want in your wage bracket.
