davbloo
Any idea when external companies will be getting their product keys so I can pre load today rather then having to download tomorrow?

davbloo
2.5gb I believe. Tomorrow it's likely to be busy so it could take ages to download.

Fox2k
I've preordered from GMG, but haven't gotten a key yet.
ada5tra
I've preordered from GMG, but haven't gotten a key yet. Yeah me too Fox, thats why I was wondering when it would be released. I pre-ordered with them last year and I was 2 days late getting the game because I didnt get the key in email till then. Figured I'd give them another shot this year and see if it went better. The initial email where it says type the key below, the key is missing, which I understand as its not released till tomorrow, but just wary of last years occurrence repeating itself. Matt ex SEGA
So - my understanding is that all partners have been provided their build, and their activation codes. They should be in contact with you imminently, obviously - I would suggest contacting them directly if you have specific queries. Cheers Matt
ada5tra
Thanks for that. All across the threads today fella, top fielding Looks like the demo then til I get the code, be it tomorrow or later, then seamlessly transition it into the full game. Suits me. nilneil
Why is Sega allowing it to be downloaded from Stream but not offically allow shops to sell it until the 21st a bit of double standards there. Stream is a shop after and these people are gaining an advantage as to when they can play the game.
Matt ex SEGA
Some retailers don't have the ability to pre-load - there's not a massive amount we can do about that, I'm afraid...
nilneil
but they have the ability to put the boxed version on a shelf which you say they cant do officially until the 21st but allow stream to put it on there shelfs earlier giving them an advantage, you moaned your butts off in previous years when retailers sold it before offical release date and now you are letting your offical partner do so. swirlypop69
Pre-load isn't us playing the game...we're still sat here with a (for now) useless game on our computers. It's one of the perks of Steam to pre-load.
Matt ex SEGA
No we aren't. The game is not available to play - it's available to pre-load. Some retailers will open at midnight to make the game available. At exactly that point, Steam will make it available to play as well.
nilneil
so are you saying then that it is okay for shops to sell the game early as people will only be allowed to pre load the game, then i can print this off go to my local store and get a boxed copy early? Matt ex SEGA
No, I'm not... If you're able to obtain a copy of the game in the first minute of the release date - october 21st - you will be able to play from then, regardless of where you purchase from. No-one will be playing it prior to that. I'm not sure I can be any clearer.
