What difference in performance would I see between these two?

Recommended Posts

My current laptop (which runs FM12 3d graphics on low detail. Played FM11 on small database, with just one league because I had 1 star for performance):

Base

Inspiron 1545 (UK, QS01) - T3000 (1.80GHz, 800MHz, 1MB cache)

Memory

4096MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x2048]

Video Card

Intel Integrated GMA 4500MHD

Hard Drive

320GB (5,400rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive

Microsoft Operating System

Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium SP1 (64 BIT)

Processor

Intel® Celeron Dual Core T3000 (1.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 1 MB L2 Cache)

A potential replacement:

If you are like myself and only play Fm i would recommend a Dell inspiron 15r. Intel core i3 2.53GHz, 4096MB ram.It has a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650.

Far from being a gaming machine but for me works great for FM11 and flawless for 3d ME on FM12 demo, very smooth.

Also tried Fifa 12 also worked flawlessly with no problem, at the same time I think games like GTA IV are out of reach for this machine. Check it out on Dell's website roundabout the same price.

Anyway just a suggestion:thup:

the difference would be huge... and graphics card isnt a big problem... most cards can breeze through fm easily

the potential buy is better than the one stewet suggested too..

but just so you can have an idea...

here's pretty much the exact same lappy for cheaper

I recomend not to jump the gun and get something thats going to do just a little more then your current computer, save up and get something alot better

I didnt pay £1100 mine was only £850 from PC world and im very happy. Runs Fm like a dream. Currently saving up for a Solid State HD as Fm is fantastic if run from a Solid state HD.
