The Welsh Lad
Hi all, Basically I want to know can you watch a game controlled by your assistant, I have never tried and I just thought about it but I'm away from my computer so I can't check myself. If it is possible do any of you do it.
dirtyscarab
I've wondered quite a lot about this. Especially when you go on holiday and you uncheck 'use current tactics'. I've done that a few times and then the assman gets brilliant results. I've often found myself wondering what tactics they used. I'm pretty sure there's no way to find out though
VonBlade
Although you can't do the "assman controls, tick view" thing, surely you can just go back and rewatch an old match? It generates the match report, so it must be possible to watch the "video highlights" version? Rather than 'live'.
The Welsh Lad
Could do that I suppose. I was just wondering if it would work the same way has when you scout a match, clicking on the 'V' to view the match.
VonBlade
No that doesn't work, because if you had the time to watch it live, you'd manage it.
LazyD
No that doesn't work, because if you had the time to watch it live, you'd manage it. what if I don't want to or i am banned from the sidelines for something
The Welsh Lad
Well finally by my computer. Looks like you can't view your first team when you ask your assistant to take control of a friendly. You can view your reserves and youths.
Tommy_Styles
Yeah I've tried it numerous times but it is not possible (Not tried in FM12 but doubt it's possible there). It's a shame because I would like to "sit back and watch" especially my friendlies to be able to focus on how players are doing rather than getting annoyed that they do not understand the tactics. Something managers IRL tend to do every now and again. Granted, in FM there is no real need for this because of the different camera angles, replays etc. But it would be a nice (and fairly easy to implement) feature. Crispypaul
what if I don't want to or i am banned from the sidelines for something If you're banned you watch the game as normal but can't do any substitutions, make any tactics changes etc.
pigfacemonkeyman
If you're banned you watch the game as normal but can't do any substitutions, make any tactics changes etc. Can you access any of the info. that would normally be available to you throughout the match?
