no 3d on fm 12 demo

just downloaded the demo there and the matches arent in 3d. my fm11 was in 3d. why isnt this workin on fm 12??

Preference>Enable 3D Match Cameras

wont let me change the settings for 3d mode. why does it work on fm11 and not this version?

What graphics card do you have and have you updated the drivers for it recently?

i havent a clue mate. how do i find this out? laptop is five years old but its always ran fm pretty soundly. 2d just isnt the same.

For a 5 year old laptop I am not surprised you have problems. I take it you've never updated the drivers before?

no ive never updated drivers before,only use it for fm and internet . i have windows vista. is it complicated to update drivers mate?

Right Click on "My Computer"

Go to Manage

Select Device Manager (from the left screen)

On the right you'll see "Display Adapters" - click the arrow button beside it to expand it

Select the item(s) and right click and choose UPdate Drivers

Do the recommended option (scan automatically)

See if it finds a better driver for your system

If it does, you might have to reboot then try FM demo againg

tried that. it says i have the best software already installed. any other ideas?

There's been a lot of problems with that graphics chip judging by posts over in the bugs forum. On Mac people with it can't even start the game. SI are looking into a fix so if you're in luck it may have been addressed for the first patch. If they can't, that chip is unfortunately too old for the 3D engine in FM12.

My graphic card crashes when i try to watch matches in 3D. I have a quite new Nvidia something graphics driver. Sometimes it manages to restart and i can watch the game, but sometimes the whole computer crashes. I experienced the same problems in FM 2011

I got the same problem with the demo, I think my graphics card is out of date. I'm on the wrong computer at the mo, will have to check it out this evening.

Also I was not able to update the Driver through the normal channel of using "Device Manager"

i googled the graphic card model and searched for the driver on the Nvidea site.

I downloaded and installed it manually.

And it's all rosy now

For Macs you just have to clear the cache every time you want to start

I'm playing the FM 2012 on my Mac and I haven't experienced any problems playing my games in 3D.

Then you don't have one of the problematic GPU's in it.
