Making players unavailable

I have pretty much won my league with my team, and some players are in need of a rest, but when i say give them 7 days rest they seem to be playing when i select to go on holiday, my asst is still picking them, is there a way to make them unavailable for selection as i cant see it :o

1) Don't go on holiday *shrugs*

2) Select a different line up and tick the "use current selection" thing.

3) Don't go on holiday.

well i kind of want to get the season over with and get promoted, and going on holiday just the quicker option i know its frowned on.

The AI is awful. So going on holiday means you will have to accept all the bad things happening to you because it is your choice.

Choose a lineup that involves none of the players you want to rest, when holidaying tick the option that says "use current players whenever possible"

I wish that would actually work... I have never seen the assistant paying attention to that instruction at all in FM11.

the rest players is only for training, nothing to do with games, you would have to pick your team then choose the use current line up when available option.
