danielgear
Hi, Just looking for a few peoples opinions, Is it better to buy the game with the disk or download via steam? Reason I'm asking is I have always bought the disk but my Dvd drive has been playing up the past few weeks and I'm probably going to have to buy a new one but the only game i play on laptop is FM anyway so the option to download via steam is there thus saving me money on Dvd drive which I wouldn't need to replace really if I downloaded. But having never used steam before i was just wondering for a few opinions on steam and if i should download it via them? Is there anything I cant do? I like to use Graphics for faces, logos etc. Is this still possible on steam? Thanks in advance Dan
Kriss
Definitely Steam then, once downloaded the game is just err the game, and you add graphics packs etc the same way.
milnerpoint
yeah steam is the best option unless you get your drive fixed and like kirss says the game is exactly the same, and you can do everything you can now add on wise.

Steam sounding good, I guess you have all used it? edited DBs, Graphics logos etc are all usable. The only thing with Steam in your case is having a decent internet as you obviously have to download it

dirtyscarab
Bear in mind that the data editor via Steam will be located in a different place - Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2012\tools\editor Face packs/ Logos etc will still be in My Docs. milnerpoint
pre-ordered from steamthanks again guys no problem, enjoy
mimland
Steam is usually reliable and easy to use, no matter how you get the game you will need steam to play it. It is possible that you can get the game as digital download cheaper from other places though, in my experience steam can be a little more expensive. grep
Guys, when answering such questions please bear in mind the globe environment. A DVD harms the environment 1000 times worst than a dowloadable version, due to plastics, paper, fuel burnt to deliver it etc etc... Please take care about the world you are living on
DE-Z
Think I'm going to use steam this year. Seems so much easier.
Soccer
Steam is better, as you can play without the disc and on any computer, provided there's Internet connection.
