Query regarding English U18 league eligibility

Quick question

What are the criteria for being eligible for the U18 comp?

Reason I ask, is i'm not sure FM11 seems to know itself.

At the end of the season I was told that a handful of players had been moved to reserves as they are too old for U18. 2 are 19, 2 are 18.

However, it seems they are actually allowed to still play at that level.

I know it used to state that anyone who was under 18 on 1st september, or something, was eligible, but clearly this is no longer the case.

The real U18 league rules state:

...Under-18 competition (players are aged under 18 on the preceding 31 August), with up to 3 Under-19 outfield players and 1 Under-19 goalkeeper allowed per team per match.

however, i have one player who's birthday is 18th Jan who is eligible, and another who's birthday is 1st Jan who is not...:confused:

In the Under 18's league rules on FM it states that a match can have no more than 3 players aged 18. no mention of a GK rule. Your 2 players could fall under a bug smillar to the euro under 21 bug

Any extra players will not really play games as they will not be registered.

PS: I don't think its a bug in this particular case.

Your Ass Man is moving the players as he knows they would be better off in the reserve team than rotting in U18.
