Finding regens tricks and tips

Greetings,

Could the more experienced players please share some tricks and tips at finding regens in FMHi 2011?

Also, are there any regens on the 1st and 2nd season or they only start to appear in the 3rd?

Not first, but some will start generating in the second. Not only as players retire. Go into search, and search by age. Sort to the youngest, and look for players that have a playing history of that year as the first.

Good answer Richard, but not the entire truth. Regens can appear in the first season, but they are more rare. In the second season there will be a significant amount of regens (ca. 100 depending, on the leagues you loaded). And not all regens regenerate young. Some are 27 on their first year.

No, only of players that start in the game.

Otherwise, how can you spot a specific regen, like for instance Alessandro Del Piero? Their attributes are not the same as they often regen younger, so still haven't developed to achieve the same high attributes.

It would, but the idea behind the regen system is to keep a balanced database. The addition of a lot of superstars players would make the game unrealistic - imagine if there were 50 Messis around the world

Yeah, but regens can appear with ages varying from 15 to 27...

I dont need regens at the age of 27

But the game does - regens need to appear at a later age in inactive leagues in order to ensure that clubs from those countries remain competent and balanced in international & continental competitions and suchlike.

Of course. Usually when people talk about regens, they mean those young good ones

I wouldn't automatically rule a player just because he's a regen at an older age, the best player I've ever had in FMHi was a Spanish striker who was a regen at age 25. For the next four or five seasons, he scored somewhere around 50-60 goals per season.

I dont like the regen system. I'd be surprised if anybody does but having older regens doesn't bother me Giggsy's regen is usually mid to late twenties. I'd like for the game to ... you know what I will put this in another thread more suitable.
