Couple of questions

Recommended Posts

Hey folks.. These are questions that I always wanted to ask but never had time to do so..

It would be nice if someone can give me the answers..

There are no specific orders, just writing down which one comes to my mind first

1-) Do our staff's stats get better in time? FOr exampla a player retires from football remains in my club with terrible coaching staff. If i give time to him, would he develop into a good coach? or will his stats remain the same always?

2-) Every player is a natural in one or more position. And some are accomplished in other positions. If we set a player to a position where he is not natural but accomplished, would this mean that he would not be able to fulfill his potential in a game?

3-) Can accomplished or competent positions become natural positions in time if a player plays in that position for a long time? a season or so?

4-) If i a player is a coach, and can work with both young and first team squads, would his efforts be not as good since he is working overtime?

5-) Is having 1 physio with great stats is enough? I see that some teams have 6-7 physios.

These are the ones that comes to mind for now. Will add if i think of more.

1) Yes, but I have no idea how long it takes or how much they can improve. It's not something I've paid much attention to.

2) It's more likely to affect the player if he's lacking in mental attributes - when the game is going against him he won't feel completely comfortable and it could have a small effect on his performances. Honestly, it's not something you'll notice and it's never a consideration for me (though if they play there constantly for me, I always train them in that position in the hope they'll eventually become natural - it can happen to youngsters a lot more easily, though I've seen it once with a player 26+)

3) Yes, see above. Retraining and constantly playing them in that position are the way to get it to work. Though if you stop both of these he'll eventually drop back to accomplished again. Personally I'd like to see this effect in all players, not just those youve retrained.

4) It's best to have a mix of all roles. If I have 7 coaches I'll have two first team, two youth and three general for example.

5) Yes, pretty much - there's another thread here discussing it. Though I like to have the full compliment I'm allowed.

1. Coaches have a CA/PA just like players and they can improve over time in the same way too.

2. Playing in a different position uses different attributes. For all-round or very versatile players it's a good thing to play them in "accomplished" positions as using the attributes will help to distribute the CA points gained by training (I think that's correct). In other words, if a player is very versatile, playing him in the positions he isn't natural in will help improve him as a player meaning that he is more likely to reach his potential, not less.

3. As Ackter says, retraining and playing a player in a position will, eventually, lead to him becoming natural (not sure which hidden attribute governs how long this takes, probably adaptability). If you stop retraining a player to play the position once they become natural at it, even if they play there every match they will eventually drop back to accomplished (or so it has worked for me in the past..)

4. You can see the workload of your coaches on the training screen, having more than one coach for each discipline will reduce the overall workload on your better coaches and help your players to develop faster. It's best to have a coach who specialises in each discipline focusing only on that with several general coaches helping out across multiple disciplines to spread the workload out evenly. As a general rule, if the workload per discipline is "light" then your players will improve faster.

5. As above, more physios mean less workload meaning faster recovery rates. Your physio department is only as good as your best physio, just like your coaches in any discipline are only as good as your best coach.

A thought just came to me regarding this. When a player retires to become a coach, does he keep the same PA, the reason I ask is we know that Messi and Ronaldo are probably the best in the game so their CA/PA are close to full, so if they later became coaches while I would expect their CA to drop, will their PA stay the same.

I have no idea... I would assume that the "coach" persona would have a different PA to the "player" PA simply because they're, essentially, different people/roles and use different skills in their execution. Maybe SI or someone who knows could clarify?
