Suarez...
In Fifa you can place your players pretty much exactly where you want. For example in Fifa you can have your Right and Left backs just slightly ahead of your CB's, or you can play two Central mifielders with one slightly ahead of the other. It would be really easy to implement. Is there ever a chance?
mcleod_69_69_69
This isn't FIFA. with tweaking of players you can get them to do all sorts. For instants my left supporting winger cuts inside hanging around in the box, why because I told him to go there. The positions are just a reference they can pretty much player anywhere you want. First you don't get to place players in real life. and second, the positions aren't fixed in FM they are simply a guideline as to the general area the player should be in. atightropewalker
A left back is a left back regardless of what you mean his attacking intent to be... And if he is ahead of your winger (say) then he is not a left back anyway? And what difference does it make? Real life players are not CPUs... if Sir Alex showed Man U a position diagram à la Fifa do you really think they have some satellite view of the pitch so they can precisely position themselves in their 'default' (this is what I imagine it is) position? Come off it... they probably don't average the same position in any two games, irrespective of the tactic... Yes players have positions, but they are much more general than being 1-5m ahead of your centre-backs.
