The Effects Of Pre-Season Tours?

Right, I could go into detail, but I'm just going to cut a long story short, and get straight to point, and ask you all, what are the effects of a pre-season tour??

IRL, it would help to boost merchandise sales, and build a reputation in another country. Well I have a feeder club in China, I've been a few pre-season tours to help raise income, yet I've noticed no difference.

Do you get money from any ticket sales or anything else out there? Or am I just wasting 4 pre-season friendlies?

I assume it's important to know that I'm managing one of the biggest clubs in world football (in my game anyway) in 2035, and we should be making much more money than we are.

Has anyone actually noticed an impact from pre-season tours, in the short or long term?

I've never noticed a significant increase in income from tours and I doubt it has any effects on merchandise or reputation imo.
