View Full Version : Problem with awards still exists?

Hi all.

Not played FM for a few years but plan to buy FM2012.

Was wondering if an old problem with the awards on the game has ever been fixed. Basically, in England the top 3 for Footballer of the Year and the top 3 for Player's Player of the Year are always entirely different.

This is unrealistic because IRL the same player often wins both awards; there should be some degree of overlapping.

I moaned about it a few years ago (http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/46362-Awards-question?) on the forum, but my mate who has FM2011 says that it is still a problem on the game.

Anyone else noticed this or found it not to be the case? The same applies to similar awards structures in different countries and the 2 world player awards.

Thoughts? Cheers.

I'd never noticed before, but it does look like that is still the case with the English awards. The footballer of the year awards look fairly strong, with the players' player of the year looking a bit odd.

The World awards look fine.

Is there no way it could be fixed? It has annoyed me since FM2007. Surprised it hasn't been noticed and sorted out. Never used to be an issue for the CM2 and CM3 series.

Does no-one else care about this? Really detracts from the realism of the game IMO.

Also once a player is over the age of 32 it appears that no matter how good he is, how many goals or how high an average rating they have they CANNOT win the World Player of the Year award. They won't even get on the 35 man nomiation list for it.

I had this issue with FM 11, basically looked at the award winners and noticed that the guys who won, might not be the worthy winner because the runner up often had a better season.
