lewis999
Was just looking through the leagues in my game and noticed that the prize money in Germany is as follows :- Then when I went to the Barclays Premier League it showed it as this :- Was wondering if it was suppose to be like this, and if so, why? Because I always thought the English League, with exception to maybe Spain had the highest prize money, even for teams that got relegated.
pigfacemonkeyman
It was 20.6 million to the winner of the EPL 09/10 in FM10. I would be surprised to learn that it had dropped since then.
askep
Don't relegated English teams get additional parachute payments, though?
TheMister
Don't relegated English teams get additional parachute payments, though? Isn't that paid from the pool of TV money though, and the prize money is seperate?
BayernMB
It is pretty much correct...in Germany TV money is basically composed of a fixed ammount (about 11 mil. € which a German club gets as TV money in FM) and an ammount which is based on league position (in FM that is the price money). Altough the calculation is a bit different IRL (I beleive that last 3 or 4 seasons are important when distributing the money) the ammount of money which you receive in FM is about right. askep
Isn't that paid from the pool of TV money though, and the prize money is seperate? I have absolutely no clue, but that sounds plausible.
Things Could Get Messi
prize money in germany is really good, even if you struggle. the ammount for the lower leagues is also a lot if you look. but on my save at frankfurt recently the tv money was a lot lower so your still going to be a lot richer playing in england. Raybouldinho
Prize money and TV money are two different things, basically.
