Smurf Posted September 9, 2011 Share Posted September 9, 2011 Nope the Athletic Team is a registered team in Spain and thus has it's own manager and operates as a seperate club in the transfer market. Is the way they operate in the game entirely realistic? I don't need the fact that they play competitively in the Spanish league system explaining, because I already realise that. What I'm wondering is if the whole thing about their managers making their own signings is realistic. Is this how it works in real life? Are Spanish B teams mainly full of the manager's own signings? RBKalle Posted September 10, 2011 Share Posted September 10, 2011 I've been managing Barça for 5 seasons and Luis Enriqe [still there...] never ever signed a single player... On the other hand I'm confused by the awful lot of injuries the Barça B players seem to pick up.. and always the decent backups I had to send there to get some valuable football time, not the crappy ones who are parked there til their contract runs out...
