lovingthegreen
I couldn't find anything in the search tool. Does FM have the exact same Champions League tiebreakers as in real life (i.e. head-to-head away goals). I'm tied for third (no chance for second) and I'm playing the team I'm tied with. We tied 2-2 at home and the away meeting is 0-0 right now in the 70th minute when it hit me that I would HAVE to win a spot in the UEFA Cup because of that away goals rule. But when I look up the "rules" on FM for the CL it just says "results between teams" which to me just sounds like win/loss/draw. Please help so I know if I have to go all-out attack over the last 20 minutes!
lovingthegreen
I got too impatient and went all-out attack anyway ... and scored two minutes later! Then barely held on for the next 18 minutes. I am still curious, however, if FM has exactly the same CL tiebreakers as real life. I would assume so but want to make sure for next time I'm in this situation. turn it upto 11
surely it would be like regular leagues, GD, then if the same the results between the 2 then it would be a playoff between the 2, whydont you load it, go back and draw the game id be interested to see what happens

turn it upto 11
if everything is equal it goes on the last five years results, seems a bit unfair that. surely the best way(and most lucrative) would be a playoff. heres one for you, wha if it is the first time in europe for both teams, then they have no cooefficents. Fishbone
if the teams have the same coefficients then they do play in a playoff, they just want to avoid having playoffs because it messes up the schedule.
