Remove Players from Shortlist

Hi all,

Is there anyway of either:

a) remove all players not deemed realistic by assistant manager from shortlist

or

b) only SHOW players not deemed realistic by assistant manager

At the moment I can only seem to hide these players, but I want to remove them.

select all the players you want to remove using control and the mouse button, right click and remove from shortlist.

Does it work if you hide them then copy the shortlist. (hide,save,reload)?

im not sure to be honest, i dont pay a huge amount of attention to the short list its self, i usually use it to keep me uptodate with whats happening with certain players.

I think you may have missed the point of my thread milnerpoint, I want to only delete those my 'ass man' thinks are unrealistic.

I'll try pigfacemonkeyman and see what happens, I son't think it will as the check box only filters the shortlist not edits it.

ah sorry i get you now, i dont think there is a way to group them and then delete them as such, only way really is to hide them from the search.

In a roundabout way, it is possible. What you need to do is simply move all the players who AREN'T considered unrealistic to a new shortlist, then clear or delete the old shortlist.

Step-by-step:

- Create a new shortlist, which I named "Realistic Targets"

- Open your default shortlist.

- Check "ask assistant to filter out unrealistic targets" checkbox.

- Select all the players who aren't filtered out. (Ctrl-A)

- Right click and move them to your new shortlist.

- Uncheck "ask assistant to filter out unrealistic targets" checkbox.

- Clear the default shortlist.

- Open your new shortlist.

- You can then either move them all back to your default shortlist, or just work from the new one.

Cheers Andy, that was the work around I was looking for, yet as a 7 year veteran of FM I never realised you could have multiple shortlists!

Multiple shortlists is a very handy feature - great for having a list of current transfer targets and a separate list of longer-term targets or guys you're just keeping an eye on. You can set which lists are active and which aren't - you then only get news about players on the active shortlists.
