Can't get rid of Man City's money.

I took away City and Chelsea's Sugar Daddys and transfer budget in the editor but somehow come January City have 50 million to spend. Anyone know why?

Perhaps the chairman is giving them a cash injection due to their limited funds, although I'd have thought sugar daddy being turned off would stop that.

Use an editor (either official one if you're planning on a new game, or FMRTE will probably allow it) to change both club's chairman Resources and Business hidden stats to 1, should limit their business acumen.

It may also be worth checking if there's an EDT file with the sugar daddy code in it, any such file would overwrite anything that's been done in the editor. You should find it in an edt folder within your own edited db folder.

they will easily get around that much at the end of the season, maybe more, unless something drastically goes wrong!

The problem is probablyt that whilst you took away Man City's cash, you didn't take away the chairman's ambition rating, which will almost certainly be very high. So now he still wants to spend in search of glory, the only difference is that he'll do it with debt rather than Dubai money.

you took away their initial transfer budget, you didnt remove their money so they still had all that money in the bank waiting to be spent.

Thanks for the replies. Made edits again and left the transfer budget box unticked. I guess if you leave it as 0 it generates a random number? Lowered sponsors and bank balance and decreased Mubarak's ambition just in case. Will see how they get on now.

Take control, but some stupidly useless players for 200m each over 48 months and give them max bonuses, wages, signing and agents fee's until the budget is gone.

you could try to give them a massive loan to repay, along with a bank balance of £0.

They've done it themselves in my Spurs save, I'm in 2023 and for the past three seasons they've entered administration and have had nine points deducted !

i did this in one save to see how i could ruin man city, however all i did was make them lose every game, i went back and checked on them in league one. they had spent £20m on a striker who in all fairness is a world beater...they just seem to keep getting the cash
