Rowe23
Basically I'm looking at upgrading my pc from 4GB RAM to 8GB RAM and I was wondering how much of a difference would I see in my gameplay? I've got windows 7 n core 2 duo processor if that makes any difference!

Deisler26
It's your CPU that will make the biggest difference.

x42bn6
It will make a slight difference (as long as your CPU and OS are 64-bit of course) due to the fact Windows can cache things better with more RAM, but won't make a huge difference. Unless you're doing things like encoding movies in the background...
Hammered Pizza
If you're a PC, wait at least till next year. Windows 8 is slated for a 2012 release, you don't want to end up paying another £100 to upgrade your OS and (possibly) lose features because your PC isn't quite good enough. You'll get more for your money next year anyway... If you're a Mac, just get one now, but only if you're willing to pay £1200 for a fashion accessory. crouchaldinho
Well personally I went from 1GB to 3GB a few years ago and it made a ton of difference for me. No idea if anything beyond that will improve things though. I would definitely go up to 4GB of RAM but after that I'd just be focusing 100% on processor power! I'm no expert though. GlasgowRob
go to 8gig and setup a ram drive if that seems a bit OTT spend the money on a SSD drive instead. will offer much better gains than just going down the vanilla upgrade 4-8gb
