Jumping Attribute Description in Online Manual - Is It Right?

Recommended Posts

This is it:

Jumping

This attribute related to a player's aerial reach from a standing start. It is an attribute which is relative to every other individual on the pitch. For example, a player who is 190cm will be able to reach higher than a player who is 170cm even with a poor jumping effort, regardless of the jumping ability the shorter player possesses.

See it here: http://www.footballmanager.com/manual/172

I might have a mental block, but I just can not get this description to tally with what has been stated, in the past, by someone sporting the SI badge and backed up by researchers.

Gripper's post #33 is saying that, if I understand it correctly, the 'Jumping' attribute 'already includes a player's height'.

The manual description is telling me that, Tall Guy-Small Jump, Will Reach Higher than, Small Guy-Big Jump, which means that 'height isn't already included' in the 'Jumping' attribute.

Even if it is me not getting it, the first sentence of the manual description doesn't make sense and the whole paragraph is bloated and confusing. Why not "Jumping:- the height a player can reach with his head, regardless of/which already includes, his height".

I would be most grateful if someone from SI could clarify the manual description.

If I have a mental block then I apologise and look forward to receiving help to remove it.

Cheers

EDIT: Thanks for clearing that up!!!
