Ideas from FM Live

Due to the unfortunate demise of FM Live surely some of the better features from the game can be saved and brought in to future FM games ? I remember SI at the time saying something along the lines that they would never merge concepts from FM live into the main series but I would imagine that point is no longer relevant.

I for one would be very happy to see some of the following ideas make the jump

1. Building Academies in other Countries- this way you could help broaden the scope of regens within your club (For example the presence of a Man Utd academy in the USA would mean you could get US regens at a good level, depending on the level of Investment). This could also have interesting consequences for some of the more unfancied national teams in the game. with the increasing emphasis being put on developing youth in the PL at the moment I think it would be a sensible addition.

2. The ability to develop your own abilities as a manager- I liked on FM how you could specialise in Youth Development or in Tactical Knowledge. Im not saying get rid of coaches and replace it with this system but i think it would be beneficial if you could have a manager that reflects your own philosophies on the game and suits your style of playing.

3.The abilty to invest and develop your scouting network- at the moment you can buy a scout and all of a sudden you know all about football in the country of the world they were born in. I dont think this is necessarily realistic. I think setting up a system whereby you invest money in scouting certain countries of the world (the bigger the investement the greater the presence your team has in that nation- increasing the chances of finding a hidden gem) would be a better approach to this.

Someone else said this exact thing but in much more depth literally 2 days ago. It got a very good response.
