Wignall has won player of the year 4 times in a row, He's pretty good:

Did he do a terry? Anybody else experienced something similar?

Could be because he's absolutely knackered, maybe he's just back from injury?

Well he is exhausted so maybe he felt the player wasn't up to competing in a tournament.

I am wondering if it is to do with the fact he is exhausted.

It can't be rep, you're Sunderland - and I imagine you're doing well.
It can't be HIS rep, he's WPotY.

So it's got to be fitness, unless Steve Round (who?) has him set as disliked.

Alternatively, did he do a Darren Bent and miss a sitter? ;)

It might be that, they used to pick him all the time despite his condition. I withdrew him from a friendly when he was just back from injury a couple of months ago, would that make a difference?

Yes, its a bug.

Once you've withdrawn him he'll never be picked again unless you use a save game editor to change the flag on the player.

Ah right, cheers. Well England's lost, He always seems to get injured when he plays internationally anyway.
