I am thinking of managing barcelona b although i want to know if there is the possibility of managing barcelona first team eventually like pep guardiola if I do well ? Has this happened to anyone ?

surely you would just have to apply and get the job ?

As far as I'm aware Pep got the job thanks to Cruyff realising Pep played football the Barca way when he was in charge of the B side so it's unlikely if you applied for it eventually that you'd even be considered. IRL though, you'd maybe have a chance.

Teams tend to recruit from within a lot in FM, which should give you an advantage.

Edit yourself in fmrte as favoured personel etc, the only way i can think you'd have a chance.

There's no advantage. According to the way the game is set up, Barca B is just an affiliated club with Barca, except with the ability to freely move players during transfer windows. Being Barca B manager doesn't give you any advantage. In fact, it could hurt you because your reputation will never rise above 2nd division level.
