Steam Offline Challenges

My internet connection went down last night from 1.00am till 4.00pm. Great way to spend a day off work with no FM.

However, I wondered if I set my steam account to offline, to avoid this problem in the future would it still update the Steam challenges as I unlocked them.

No you have to be online at the time they trigger for the Steam achievements to register.

However you could have still played FM in "offline" mode.

Any advice how to do this? I tried to load up the game but kept getting the message Steam cannot work in offline mode as details were not stored on this computer and needed to connect back to steam to play.

Thats why I thought of setting game to offline mode so if this problem occurs again I wont have the same problem.

You need to save your Steam password.
