Another question about HG status.

quick question I have had a problem with Hg status for the european cup. I have had some players for 5 seasons since they were 16 but loaned them out for about 4 seasons, and now he doesn't qualify for any home grown status why is this?

Google the home grown rules. Off the top of my head they have to be at your club for 3 consecutive years or seasons between the ages of 15 and 21. This includes the season in which they turn 21. FM can be a bit dodgy with respect to turning 21 and I don't know the exact 'timing' nor am I arsed testing it to find out. As an example I had an 18 year old sign in august, turned 19 in late November so he did spend 3 full seasons including the one where he turned 21 at the club, but no HG status. Signed another 18 year old in late July, turned 19 in late December and he did get HG status.
