knap
Is this really the formation of choice in future years for EPL clubs?
SWaRFeGa
Seems to be the case. I see a lot of 5-2-3 and 3-4-3 also. One team even went with a very odd "dick and balls" formation after being reduced to 10 men...
Cougar2010
Formations seem to rotate over time and at the moment we are seeing an increasing use of 4231 becoming quite a standard tactic at the top level. Over the next 10 years we'll see top teams look to counter this tactic and 532 is a possible option for the next "standard" formation. Strong defensive formation while you will outnumber the opposition 3-2 in midfield but it will rely heavily on having very attacking fullbacks.
