Lost in the game...

Not sure if this is the right place for this thread but basically I fired up football manager at around 13:00pm and have played almost non stop until now (02:15am). The only time I can remember stopping is for dinner, I can't remember the last time I went to the toilet. I think today is the day I've realised I may just be an addict.

Do other players ever have 'sessions' like this? and whats the longest you've played the game in one session?

Yes. At the beginning. Soon, you learn to balance a bit.

I think I've done about 16 hour stints before. Today I first loaded FM up at 2pm and still playing it now, although there was a 3 hour break in between.

I did 24 hours, just because.

It does start to lose it's fun the longer I play it, although it does mean that when I walk away from it, I'm more inclined to start scribbling transfer targets and possible formations on a bit of paper.

My mate and I used to laugh that if we used the hours we'd played FM/CM (since about 96/97) on doing Open University courses we'd have more Degree's than a compass by now.

I hate to think how many hours over the past 15 years I've cracked out.

It's a really fun game when you get yourself into a session. Don't worry about it, you're not an addict unless it's actually cutting into your real life responsibilities.

I have heard so many people, even experienced gamers who play all different types of games that say FM is incredibly addictive. I don't necessarily play constantly for long periods of time, I often have it on in the background whilst doing other things in my spare time.

I am also not addicted to the point where I play on the train, whilst eating dinner, whilst socialising with friends, whilst having a poo on the toilet, whilst on the phone etc....not that theres anything wrong if you do do that.
