How is this possible?

I'm in my third season at Southampton and after back to back promotions I'm in the Prem, 5th game in and I have West Ham at home, I go to pick my team only to realise I have 13 players on international duty, my team is young and they are all on U21 duty but how can things like this still manage to get through into the main game? Is terrible.

I was left with no GK (Schneiderlin had to play in goal), no recognised striker and 2 midfielders in defence. Luckily i got away with a 2-2 draw but now i'm worried that this will happen more over the season and there's nothing i can do about it.

Oh and to top it off Schneiderlin was unhappy at playing out of position lol.

I'd be more concerned about the game letting you get away with a 2-2 draw with no keeper, defense or strikers.

I still had an average team with a strong possession tactic which obviously helped but i thought i was in for a hiding.

I don't know if it was possible but try removing from squad for internationals! If it is only a friendly this works. However, the player is permananetly removed from the international setup due to a bug so only use this if it keeps happening!

It was for the U21 Euro' champ' Qualifier so i couldn't even remove them.

You really need a reserve team.
