ref blowing for half time

i was playing last night and i was away to west ham and it was approaching half time with the score tied 1-1 luckily for me!!!, when west ham where through on the break and then the ref decided to blow for half time,a bit controversal if you ask me but it went my way so i was happy enough.i ended up losing 2-1 in the end,i thought west ham looked very dangerous on the attack,my team looked flat footed and asleep at the back alot,in saying that we were on a great run of form and i think they had lost a few so mabe complacency was an issue,hard games coming up to against arsenal and such...anyhow has this happened to anyone else were the ref just decides its half time when a team are basically clean through???

I've seen it happen at full-time, when it appeared my player was through and bearing down on goal. I was not happy, but I couldn't complain about the referee.
