manager of the year...... why?

Recommended Posts

hi guys

i am bromley manager and in my first season i won the blue square south

i was beaten just once in the full league campaign, i was predicted to finish 8th(i came 1st)

i scored the most goals of anyone and conceded the least

i had over a thousand points when it came to choosing manager of the year and everyone else was in the hundreds(750 was the second most iirc, behind me)

and the manager of the year award went to havant and waterloovile manager even though they finished 4th(they did win the playoffs)

and they were supposed to finish higher than i was(6th)

i am just asking why did he win it

when he was supposed to finish higher than me but didnt

he scored less and conceded more than i did

and i won more matches and lost less

and i had more manager points than he did

???

bit weird is it not?

and its not as if he did well in the cups he got beaten in the 4th qualifying round of the fa cup as i did

and i knocked him out of the fa trophy in the third round

sorry if this has been brought up before

I just had this happen to me, as Arsenal manager I won them their first Prem title since 2004 (in 2018) and came second in manager of the year. I have ruffled a few other Prem managers feathers along the way though, so I suppose that goes some way to explaining it in my case.
