Sheva Elite Posted April 23, 2011 Share Posted April 23, 2011 I used to think Off The Ball. As that intuitively suggests to me, that their forward runs will be timed better and into better places. But now I have got to thinking that Off The Ball is probably more like 'Anti-Marking'. And it is a background attribute really that just means the player is more likely to be in space. It doesn't really mean that the runs themselves will be any better. I've also realised that 'Forward Runs: Often' tends to just have the effect that they take up a position about 15 yards forward. It doesn't really mean they make bursting runs all the time, it means they make one forward run. If you have it to Rarely, then they sit a bit deeper. So now I'm thinking that I better off using it for players with good finishing. As at least then they can score if they find themselves in advanced positions.
