DrIgz
Hey all I'm having some problems with my comp and I was considering re-installing Windows (re-format the hard-drive and all) but I have an EPIC save going. Is it possible to save the relevant FM files (saved game, tactics etc) and after starting my computer anew, install FM again, update with the patches, copy the files I saved into the relevant folders and run my save? Thanks
CityAndColour
Yes. Just save them on an external.
DrIgz
OK, so is it that simple? Just save the saved game, tactics, training to an external, and then copy it back into the folders after everything has been deleted and re-installed? Sorry to kind of ask the question again but I just want to make sure I don't lose my save. Anything else I need to consider?
Wiitastic
that's all that is needed. just copy those files onto a blank cd. then when windows is back up and running then reinstall FM11 patch it up to date and transfer those other files back into the relivant directorys. also don't forget to use the same database also. FrazT
Copy and save the whole SI folder in Documents and this will keep all your save games and settings. Might need more than a CD as your save games will be too big on their own. Use a USB memory stick.
