[FM08] Strange Bug with Scouting

I was playing an old save on FM08 just recently but came across a strange bug where I could not assign scouting assignments to any new scouts that I signed.

Every time I signed a new scout, they took on the same scouting assignments as the first scout in the list, and I couldn't change it or add a new assignment. :confused:

So, for example, my first scout always has 'scout next opposition' and 'scout England'. Therefore, any new scout that I signed up would also have this in their assignment list and I was unable to change this or assign anything new.

I just wondered if anyone had come across that bug before on an old FM and if there was any way to work around it or sort it out. It would be a shame to lose this old save of mine due to this problem. It does rather spoil the game because any time I bring a new scout in, he will be utterly useless.
