Tactics - How Do You Approach It?

Hi lads,

Just wanted to know how everybody tends to go about tactics?

Do you play different systems for Home and Away or do you stick with the same formation/tactic all season?

Or do you tweak it game by game?

Also, how do you all go about the match preparation?

Same formation but based on pre-match advice, adjust defensive line, tempo and width. Assistant does match preparation.

I set my formation to have as many good players as possible, besides sticking with a consistent one.

For example, in my palermo save, I'm using 4-3-2-1

The idea is getting as many good players as possible.

If you only have 3 good defenders, and could have an extra good striker, I'd stick with 3 defenders and the extra firepower up front, rather than a semi mediocre defender.

Recently I've found more enjoyment from hiring an assistant that plays like I want to and then holidaying through the match. Doing this I can get through a season in a few hours, like you used to be able to do all those years ago.

I still drop in myself every now and again for matches I feel like playing - Finals, derbies vs Sunderland etc, but I enjoy squad management more than tactical management these days.

Would give anything for a "send assistant" button on the Go To Match screen so I don't have to use the annoying holiday feature all the time.
