davehanson Posted April 13, 2011 Share Posted April 13, 2011 Just got me thinking this morning as I fired up FM11, Steam tells me that I have played the game for over 1000 hours now, 1011 to be exact. When I sat down and worked it out that means, as I got the game on release day, I have played the game for an average 6hours 20 mins per day. I really didn't think I had played that much. I keep telling the wife I don't go on it that often. I am sure I played more when I was in my teens and early 20's (before the wife and kids came along), with all night sessions a regular event. Not sure why it says that, but i think i have played a few hundred hours since November. Which is....frightening. I've cut down now, because it's too addictive. Partly so I don't see how many hours it actually is, and partly because I don't use steam for anything other than FM so only go online when there's an update. But as many have said, FM is the sort of thing that often runs for hours in the background while I work/surf/play other games/make music etc. There's no info on how much time FM was "idle", but in my case it's a very high percentage of the overall time.
