Birmingham are behind me (2nd) in the Championship this year, but they just had a game rearranged for the Europa League, I thought; I don't remember seeing them win a cup last year, so I checked... Lost in Carling Cup Third round, FA Cup Fourth round, and finished 19th in the Premier League last year. They weren't in the Europa League or any European competition last year either. England will have been awarded the place through a random draw and Birmingham must have had the best record with regard to yellow & red cards in the Premiership last season.
