Player positions changing between tactics

I seem to be banging my head against a brick wall to solve this.

I have three tactics I use on FM11.

I have a problem now, that when I switch between the tactics mid match, my players start playing out of position. Now on previous versions, when this was happening, you could drag the players on the tactics-formation screen and save them so that you could effortlessly switch between them.

For some reason this does not seem to work on FM11. I move the players to the correct position, save the tactic and load the next one and all it has done is more the players on the new loaded tactic.

How do I get the players positions between 2 or more tactics to match?

Am I being dense?
