What is the point of weather forecasting in FM?

My concern is that sometimes the forecast from a few days before can change a little by match day. I know that is what happens in real life but it adds nothing to the game. Weather should be on match day as forecast ahead of the game, although it has an effect on the ME it is a semi-random factor so making the actual weather more difficult to assess is just a silly added complexity that the game could do without, in my opinion.

It adds realism, and I like it.
