Did I lose my save?

I've been playing this save for about three days and have been writing a story about it over at the story forum. I made it to February, when I decided to take a break and look at the other saves I had. I saw my Game labeled under v3, and I wanted to see how far back it was. I clicked on it, loaded it, and saw it was really far back. I went back to the start screen and tried to load my save, when I noticed that somehow it seemed that it had overwritten my original save, when I did nothing in the v3 one. Is my save gone? I can't find it anywhere. It seems to have overwritten it with one from about 4 months back.
