kajito99
... a bigger club comes in for one of your youth products who you have developed and your board step in. Only going to get 800K for a player that my coaches say will become a good Premier Division striker. The player was going to be playing regularly in the Championship this season whereas now he'll probably be in the stuck in Villa Reserves. Oh well, will just have to shift focus to my newest youth product (also a striker with good Prem potential who will no doubt also get poached). I tried to get around it by offering him a new contract but that doesn't seem to be an option anymore so I've offered him to clubs in the hope I can get more money for him. Obviously this happens in real life (especially at Crewe who I am managing) and I accept that it happens in the game. Doesn't stop it from being annoying though! Anyone know the factors that can make a board more likely to step in or ways to get more money for your youth?
MShing
I always set the price of my young prospects at really low. So when clubs offer the low value the board won't overrule and sell them. Has worked many time sfor me so far
Lazaru5
offer the player to clubs at a more realistic value, and hope he chooses to join them instead...
