Lospe
Does making a young player a captain determine his influence? I've got this homegrown left back whose influence is 14 now and I want him to be the captain, do you think it could somehow encourage him to develop his leading skills? Some Guy!
I did that once, he got in a strop and played like crap for 6 months. Then went on to score 50 goals in 30 matches and became my greatest ever player on football manager... Read into that what you will... His influence was about 15 when I made him captain, at 25 (and on 360 career goals) he had an influence of 19... So maybe it helped. He was a club legend at 21! Also his sudden form that season he was made captain was particularly interesting as before hand he'd scored ~50 in about 120 matches...
