Reputation Borked?

Hello all.

I started a game as Wrexham with automatic reputation. I subsequently won the conference, spent two seasons League 2 then won that league and the Johnstone Paint Trophy. I have now spent three seasons in League 1. At the end of the last season I could not afford to renew my players contracts as the wage budget was halved! So I thought fair enough quit and get another job.

Now after 2 seasons on the job line I have only been offered a job at Bury who are currently in the bl@&dy conference where I started! My reputation has increased to Regional but that doesn't seem to make a blind bit of difference. In the meantime jobs have been offered to other manager in the championship who have Local reputation. What am I doing wrong? I seem to remember Martin O'Neal was given the Lecester job with less experience IRL.

Apart from this "issue" I have to say this version of FM has been by far the most enjoyable I have ever played!
