Wavelberry
Hi guys and girls, just wondering what people who have managed in the Ukranian or any of the Eastern Europe leagues do during the winter break? Do you organise friendlies and if so when? Do you crank training up? Curious as to what people do.
BlueSqFCB
I managed shakter, played against my reserves every week. But my reserves are very good, they could achieve mid-table in the league. Make sure to sub alot of players at half time though, you just want them ticking over, not wrecked.
Viggo Vickers
I play friendlies every other Saturday and Thursday (Reserves and U21s/18s Sunday and Monday) with other leagues that I know of that are on Winter Breaks, usually one match use my normal starting 11, the other I'll blood new players. Austria Croatia Czech Republic Denmark Hungary Iceland Romania Russia Serbia Slovakia Slovenia Ukraine If I'm knocked out of a lot of competitions (Cup, Europe) I reduce my squad a bit, sending fringe players on loan as I'll have less games to rotate them in, everything else I leave as is. Wavelberry
Cheers guys. I've gone for a full February of games to warm them back in and work out who's who. Cheers for the advice.

rancer890
I arrange friendlies with German teams who also have a break, the Russian teams in pre-season, and also a pre-season tour of America.
Machetero
Sure, I usually do a complete pre-season with my Ukrainian side during winter break - 1 week off for the whole team and after that > training > 8 or so friendlies. That's how it works in reality.
