talvikko
When I played in FM2010 I edited the database and removed Ricki Herbert from NZ national team. When I started as Wellington Phoenix manager I sent my application to became the manager New Zealand national team and it was considered affirmative, so I played as club and national team manager simultaneously from the beginning of the game. Is the same possible in FM2011? Isn’t the application to NZ national team (sent by manager – beginner) rejected?
AcidBurn
It is possible I guess it all depends on how high your reputation is when you start.
talvikko
In FM2010 I started as professional reputation (so it was medium reputation).
AcidBurn
I tried on FM11 as pro and it did not work but I could have just been unlucky.
talvikko
In FM 2010 my application was successful every time, when I tried. So I think that in FM2011 are higher requirements to be NZ manager. So I think that better choice for me is to remain with FM2010.
AcidBurn
Or start with an international reputation, unless you prefer to build your manager up a bit. Also my manager was English and not a New Zealander which might have something to do with it.
talvikko
My manager was a New Zealander. Hopefully, maybe the nationality of your manager was the only reason, that your application was not successful.
AcidBurn
Do you have FM11 yet?
talvikko
NO i don't have of course. I'm playing in FM2010. I asked because I don't know if new FM2011 will be good for me.
AcidBurn
I just tried as a New Zealander with pro reputation and I never got the job it went to a bloke called Allen Jones.
talvikko
Thank you. So my way from FM2010 is impossible. But it is interesting what will happen If I start on opposite side: If start game as NZ national team manager and send application to unmanaged Wellington Phoenix. Maybe it will work. AcidBurn
No problem strange you should ask about this as it's how I played FM10 as well but I just started as an international footballer.
