FM10: Contract expired, still employed?

I'm currently managing Bath, who I've taken to League 1 from the Conference South in successive years, but I've got a problem at the moment. My contract expired in June 2036, but there was no notification of my contract expiring, and the Board Room screen says that they are in talks about a new contract offer. I'm still working at the job, and would like to continue, but haven't been offered any sort of extension. My job security level is "untouchable," and the club has 16,000 pounds left in the weekly wage budget, so they can certainly afford to offer me a new deal. Any idea what's going on?
