Cost of running a reserve or u18 squad

So, you get the choice to choose to have one but out of interest, do I save money by not having one?

Personally I never have a reserve team, I always get rid of them all over the first 2 seasons.

Though i don't think it will save too much money, just wages i would of thought.

I mean entering them into the reserve league etc, do I save money for not using the stadium etc

Not having a reserve team will help with wages and pitch condition. I can't think of anything else though.

Don't reserves play at a different stadium?

Not all teams CP, some use their own and for using other stadiums you would pay for that, something us smaller teams might not want to do, would rather have a smaller squad and rotate to give players games than spend money setting my team up in a reserve league when I only have 4 players in my reserves.

Of course there are costs. Wages for players in your reserves as has already been mentioned. Extra stadium maintenance or rent if playing at a different stadium for home games and also the travel costs of going to away games.

Why would running a reserve team be costly? Just arrange friendly fixtures for your reserve and U19-21 team as well and you can double/triple your income through friendlies.

In fact,this is the only way I have found it possible to avoid going deep into red with lower league teams.
