dafuge
Is he foreign? It could be that he does not have the required knowledge of the country you are in to be able to give advice on opposition instructions.
FM_Spurs
no he is english, the option has never been available and i dont know enough about League 1 football to want to do it myself, is there any stat that might help me?
dafuge
Has he got a low tactical knowledge attribute?
Liquid Cool
Does he have a low Tactical Knowledge attribute? Try looking for one with a high value.
FM_Spurs
his tactical Knowledge is a 9, so not great.
Liquid Cool
Also, the opposition instructions aren't really that tricky to do yourself - just use your common football sense. Show wingers onto their weak foot, close down creative players and those with good long shot skills, go in hard on players with low bravery, etc.
dafuge
Are you into the league season or are you still playing friendlies?

FootyManPro_GTFC
Go onto your team info screen, check out the 'Icons' and 'Legends' bit and see if any of them are still involved in the game coaching wise. There always useful assistant managers to have as they know the club? That's if your wanting a new ass man...
FM_Spurs
i want someone that will know the league/s that ill be in to cover the opposition instructions part of the build up as i dont think that my knowledge of League 1 is any good. But you don't really need to have an in-depth knowledge of the league. Just assign a scout to "next opposition", and have him uncover the attributes and strengths of the opposition, and take it from there. It's always nice to have the assistant manager's point of view, of course, but I prefer to use it in combination with my own ideas.
Johnjo
I wouldn't trust them to do the opposition instructions, They can just make things worse. Its better to have no opposition instructions than the wrong ones. I could go into specifics but its best you look into it yourself as it can realy make a big difference in shutting down certain players. Just as an example they sometimes set wingers onto weaker foot even if the guy is 2 footed, this can be especialy dangerous if the guy is an inside forward and you constantly allow him to cut inside. Filke
OI is not for every player it is mostly to single out one maybe two players as weak links and try to exploit oponents there.
