Its Football Manager, but.... Some are Player/Managers

Occasionally in real life you will see a club that has a Player/Manager.

Can this be replicated in the game?

I've seen it once. In FM10, Andy Hessenthaler was player/manager at Gillingham (I believe), but that's the only one i've seen

It deos happen, but the focus and importance of being a manager in modern football means that this role is so rare. So rightly it hardly occurs in the game.

You're probably right, I can't remember.

There is quite a few in lower leagues around europe and the rest of the world, Iceland & Sweden are two countries I play in occassionally and see it there. I'm assuming you mean can the user be a player/manager? At the moment no. I suspect in part due to the fact you can put yourself in at 25 and be an ex-international which would suggest you would have high stats if you played for a major nation, but you would have to be incredibly injury prone to explain why you're no longer picking up 100k a week in the premiership. I would like it introduced myself, but perhaps on a very strict guidelines, such as is you went to a BSN/BSS side with ex-international rep you'd have to be so lacking in fitness you couldn't manage 90 minutes comfortably.

I meant it as yourself. One of my friends does so in the Scottish Second Division.
