Koki
Just wondering if FM is modeling this right... I compared the coefficients of the current top 5 countries (83, 77, 68, 59, 53) with the top 5 in my game (108, 91, 88, 80, 70) - they are still England, Spain, Germany, Italy, France btw. I know I advanced some years but the ratings for the top countries are very high. Now I suspect that either 1. FM uses another method to calculate these coefficients 2. the top countries are edited too good 3. The reputation factor is too powerful in the game and teams from smaller countries don't have a chance building up a good team (as for reputation - If I remember correctly games are calculated by reputation if you have detail level on 'none' - this could explain why the big countries are doing so well) What do you think? What does the ranking look like in your savegame? For further information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_coefficient
Cougar2010
Personally I think playable leagues are overpowered compared to background or none playable ones leading to a bigger gap forming between the leagues.
Praczy
1. Playable leagues have advantage over non-playable ones. 2. Simplified match engine used to calculate results if you don't have full details on favors better reputation teams too much.
Koki
Oh yeah, I forgot about the playable-leagues advantage. This seems to play a big role. Thank you for your thoughts.
Biscotti
Would be great if SI could find a way to make the playable vs. unplayable a bit more balanced, but I suspect it would be extremely difficult for them to do without causing the game to do so much more processing as to only be playable on top-end machines.
